Best Ways To Avoid Wysolone, Steroids, Mesacol in Ulcerative Colitis Treatment - Real Testimonial

Interviewer: Hello Dr.! Hello sir! Hello ma'am! I welcome you both to Planet Ayurveda Center. Who is the patient among you both? For which health ailment you consulted Dr. Vikram Chauhan?

Interviewee: I was suffering from ulcerative colitis which has been cured now.

Interviewer: When was this disease diagnosed and what kind of symptoms were present?

Interviewee: I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in 2016. In 2015 I worked in USA based company and it was a night shift job. Due to which my lifestyle and eating time was disturbed a lot. I used to sleep in the daytime and work at night and for the very first time, I was out of my hometown which also disturbed my eating habits. So I used to feel homesick and I was not really happy with my job. I used to have junk food like pizza and burgers. My lifestyle was completely disturbed and due to this, I got this disease. I wasn't aware of my disease for around 4 months.

Dr. Vikram Chauhan: What were the symptoms at that time?

Interviewee: I used to have abdominal cramps and bleeding while passing stool.

Dr. Vikram Chauhan: For how many times you have to go to pass stool?

Interviewee: When my symptoms used to flare up, I had to go for approximately 2-3 times. Actually, I had a different problem. My symptoms flared up only during March and August. At that time I used to go for 2-3 times otherwise I was normal. In March 2016 I started allopathic treatment, Mesacol, and wysolone. I asked them what is the problem with me. They asked me to come again whenever there is blood in the stool. I was very disappointed as I am very young and they told me to have the medicine for whole life. They gave me wysolone and Mesacol but I was really worried about my condition that what problem I am suffering with that I have to eat medicine for whole life. I searched about it on the internet. There I came to know that wysolone is a steroid and steroids are very bad for health I started looking for its alternates. Then I consulted a homeopathic doctor where I took treatment for around 6 months but didn't get any relief. In March 2016 I consulted Dr. Vikram Chauhan when my symptoms flared up. Dr. Vikram prescribed me medicines but even then my symptoms flared up again in August. Dr. Vikram told me that there is a cycle of relapse of my symptoms. Sir asked me not to worry as he will break this cycle. In august I continued taking medicines and this time there was no relapse of symptoms in March2018. I again came to meet Sir personally in February in 2018 sir asked me to continue the medicines. Till march I had no problem Sir called me to ask about my health and I told him that I am fine and let's keep a watch on it till August.

Dr. Vikram Chauhan: I already told him in March-April to stop taking medicines. Allopathic medicines were already stopped and I asked him to stop ayurvedic medicines too. But he insisted to continue medicine till August. Now it is September and he is completely fine. Today he is waiting for me since morning as he wants me to sit along with him in this video.

Interviewee: I want to say to everyone who is suffering from this disease that don't stress out and keep faith in Dr. Vikram. I came in contact with many people who were taking treatment from here, they were impatient and told me that even after taking medicines for two months they didn't get any relief. So I want to say to all of them that if your problem might have been so trivial you would have got treated from allopathic medicines itself but your disease is not a small issue that can be cured within 2-3 months.

Dr. Vikram Chauhan: I always ask my patients that you give time to allopathic doctors too. If they ask you to take medicines throughout life, you follow the same. One patient was discussing with me today that he has seen people taking mesacol for 20-30 years. So if you can take allopathic medicines for 20-30 years then please try taking ayurvedic medicines for 6 months to 1 and half years at least. I have seen that in case of 60-70% of patients, symptoms are relieved within 6 months. You have also seen that patients over here are treated within very less time.

Interviewee: Yes! One of my friends was also taking treatment from here, he was cured earlier than me and I have to continue a bit longer.

Dr. Vikram Chauhan: As I told you today that I daily come across 4-5 patients of mine who are completely fine within 4-5 months of time. There are very rare patients who take a bit longer for around 1 or one and half years to be treated completely. He kept patience and now he is completely fine. Dietary restriction is very necessary. As I always suggest not to take milk, paneer (Indian cheese) and buttermilk. Don't take junk food. Avoid taking antibiotics, they can worsen the condition.

Interviewee: For near about one year stop taking any kind of allopathic medicine. I consult the first Dr. Vikram for everything, only then take any medicine because it can cause side-effects and create a problem.

Dr. Vikram Chauhan: Basically what happens when we take antibiotics it disturbs the flora of the GIT and can cause symptoms to flare up. So even if you want to take an antibiotic, nature has given you different kind of antibiotics like haldi (turmeric) and Tulsi (Ocimum sanctum), which can help you treat a different condition like common flu, joints pain etc. treatment for many complicated and simple conditions is possible in Ayurveda. Taking painkillers and similar medicines for every then and now can cause a disturbance in the stomach too. Ulcerative colitis can be treated if you take care of this thing. Don't take hot things and drink coconut water.

Interviewee: I used to drink coconut water often, approximately 2-3 times a day. Even now I have coconut water.

Dr. Vikram Chauhan: Keep drinking coconut water. Coconut water is a mineral water given by God. So as we take 20 rs. Mineral water also take 3-40 rs God made water, it is a mineral water.

Interviewee: See we have to change lifestyle. Earlier I used to have cold drinks in summers but now I drink coconut water. If I feel like eating something I have a banana. We have to change lifestyle a bit.

Dr. Vikram Chauhan: Banana, curd and khichdi is very good. Take pomegranate juice regularly. I had a friend, whom I treated for ulcerative colitis. He told me that with every meal he take pomegranate juice. Take fresh pomegranate juice. Do not take packed juices from the market as there is no juice but water. Do not drink juice from juice corners as they are not hygienic and can cause different problems like gastroenteritis. This is will lead to disturbed digestion.

Interviewee: Even when I go out with my friends I do not drink juice from the market.

Dr. Vikram Chauhan: We too don't have juice from the market. They do not wash their hands or machine. There are flies all over it which can cause infection in the stomach. So I don't recommend that juice. Packed juices in the market have too much water in it. Prepare juice at home. We are glad you are fine now. Now I stopped his medicines. He only has pain in legs so I prescribed him an oil for massage.

Interviewer: Dr. Vikram! Viewers also want to know about the medicines you prescribed him.

Dr. Vikram Chauhan: I prescribed him Rajat bhasma, Bol parpati, Praval pishti, Kahrava pishti, Jahar mohra pishti, Akik pishti, Mukta pishti, Giloy satva and Kamdhudha ras. Other than this we give belgiri churna made from bael's fruit, not from leaves. Some give churna of bilwadi churna but I avoid giving it and then there is Vatsakadi churna. This is Vatsakadi churna and its ingredients are kutaz, bel, saunf, dhania, nagarmotha, anar ka chilka. So you also used to drink anar ka chilka?

Interviewee: Yes! Once I had a complaint of gas. I went to my maternal grandmother's house, there was no electricity for 3-4 days and the weather was too hot. So I called at your center and they told me to boil Saunf and anar ka chilka and take it.

Dr. Vikram Chauhan: Anar ka chilka (peel of pomegranate) is an astringent (stambhak). So if there is bleeding than boil it and drink it. In case of bleeding gende k phool ka ras or ras of dhurva, it is a grass, I recommend taking these cool things and it relieves the condition. Kutazghan vati and Praval Panchamrit was given. Kutaz is a tree its bark is very good for diarrhea and dysentery. Kutaz is also known as vatsak in Sanskrit. Patients are treated from this kind of medicines. I also use Ayurvedic medicines like there is a touch me not plant (Mimosa pudica), it is also effective. So cooling remedies like these can be given.
