Gugulipid (Commiphora mukul) is a planet resin containing natural sterones called Guggulosterons which are useful in lowering the cholesterol levels. Guggul is the yellowish sticky resin (or gum) that is produced by the mukul myrrh tree, a small thorny plant that grows throughout northern India and Arabia.
